Plus Dark and Ghost got buffed, and the other types that can hit Fighting or Poison have much better coverage overall.
As for OP, I'd say Tyranitar has a pretty decent fanbase, at least for such a standard Smogon staple. Probably because it isn't going to destroy your team until the game's already half over, thanks to its shit defensive typing and speed, and how sand only has like three abusers who are all easier to hate than Rockzilla.
