>>18156956>Never be a villainous team this good againI don't know, I think Plasma was a step in the right direction for the first time but I still think the villainous teams are steadily improving.
I felt like GF almost set up Team Flare to be generic (All of their early appearances had them being fairly stupid mooks concerned about being stylish and wealthy above all else) only to make it all the reveal of their actual intentions more HOLY SHITish. Like when that guy with the leaked game was releasing story elements and got to the Team Flare crescendo after Josh released gameplay details, all of /vp/ was freaking the fuck out, absolutely nothing we knew would have suggested that Flare was essentially trying to wipe all inferior life.
Also, Lysander was a genuinely good villain. Ghetsis was just a boring rule-the-world type, N wasn't even a villain and together they were interesting but not quite there. With Lysander you could tell that he was the product of a long series of failures and disappointment after hard work. He seemed desperate and sad about what he felt the only path to improvement was, and most importantly he was really human underneath the jaded exterior. N was just a puppy being misled and Ghetsis was just another big bad scary guy, but Lysander actually thought he was helping the world. I mean, the sorry elements were still presented for kids (It was painfully obvious that he was the villains' boss) but it was still interesting
