I don't understand. Why make them look exactly the same when their base forms are so different while sharing the same base design/shape?

Off the top of my head, I can't think of any shiny Megas that are markedly different in color to their base forms aside from Garchomp, whose change was justified, IMO. Don't most of them remain the same?
