I don't think he is as bad as Cynthia. At least they attempt to make him serve a purpose to the story or give you an important item. I have no idea why Cynthia keeps getting put in games.

Ive not played a pokemon game since silver so this is the first time Ive seen this guy. IIRC he was some lame FBI type....nothing. He seems like a non entity.

If they gave him an important part in the main story in gen VII and develop his character a lot more I think he would seem less forced, maybe. As it stands he's pretty much just a joke character.

Wasn't he in some post game quest X/Y? I heard that side-quest is quite bad so i didn't bothered with it.

Other than that i don't remember him being shoved at me at all.

Not near as much as Cynthia at least.

He's entirely optional in XY, and he is barely of relevance in b2/w2.

Forced is like- He shows up several times a game, trying to get you like him. Forcing you to interact with him for some story related (or important item) event. If he is optional, he is not forced.

I happen to like him. He's goofy, but not intruding.

As for Looker, I never minded him. His "painfully" unfunny sense of humor is part of the character. It didn't bother me at all. Actually, the Looker agency thing in XY was one of the only plot based things I liked from Gen VI. It makes sense for looker to keep popping up since he's Interpol. To each their own, I guess.

Every game he was in.
He mentions that he's a part of the international police in pretty much all of them.
Also that side-quest was one of the best parts of the game.

All you do is run from alley to alley, fighting the same boring NPCs over and over. The story is pathetically bad. It has no redeeming factors whatsoever.

You do know that you can choose to not get the Riolu egg in gen 4, right? Riolu/Lucario weren't relevant at all in gen 5.
