I've been thinking about this for a while, but I can't think of or find \an answer.
What's the story behind Pokemon Battling? Some pokemon have an intelligence far beyond human comprehension, like Alakazam. Pokemon like Alakazam submit themselves to be locked inside of capsules by children, just for the fun of watching them being commanded and beaten down by other Pokemon.
I honestly don't get it. It sounds cruel and inhumane when thought about it, but what's the reason for it in the Pokemon lore? How can they justify containing creatures against their will and make them fight each other? And how does this create a "bond" between humans and Pokemon?
I have nothing against this shit personally, but I'm just curious on how they would explain this considering its a kids game.
