i think that might have been a flaw on GF's part. i forgot if it was BW1 or BW2, but they said the protags would start being older, but not by much. this trend continued into X and Y. serena and calem look a bit older like nate and rosa did, but i honestly cannot see them being any older than 15. 16+, shit would start to get weird.

Emma isn't explicitly stated to be "younger" than the player. Just 16. No comparison with the player's age is ever made.

You shouldn't really bother with trying to decide the protag's ages anyways. They're left a mystery for a reason, they're not important because they're blank slates and blank slates don't need traits like that.
