>>18209837Hate to break it to you, but the Safari was all Democracy.
>>18209823>Why? What reason?Because I think the voting mechanism is an interesting dynamic in itself. Seeing what frightens people into voting Democracy, seeing the pushback by people who want to try to do it "right," seeing how slowly or quickly they get frustrated and the scale starts to shift...
Now, to be clear, I do think that Anarchy is the "real" way to play, and Democracy should only be reserved for sections that would be literally impossible otherwise (for example, the Safari Zone with the step counter on), not routine things like using a PC. But the scale has had some fun moments itself. I really enjoyed the incident a couple of nights ago where they were steps from the Fuschia Pokemon Center after a long trip from Lavender, and accidentally walked into the Gym, getting Pidgeot poisoned with all other Pokemon KO'd. It was very interesting watching them try to get to the Pokemon Center (thus avoiding getting sent all the way back to Lavender) before Pidgeot fainted, with the meter right on the Democracy line but not quite getting there. That kind of thing, where the meter itself plays a role in the drama, is why I don't mind it.
