It's like they started to make them a serious, realisticish terrorist group, and then pussied out and deleted stuff instead of redesigning them.
I mean having one of the Elite 4 be a member and the scientist that lets you pick the button and then activates it regardless just to test/torment you? That was serious shit.
Having Lysandre spout hammy lines about how beautiful the world is and that he wishes he could rid the world of ugliness? Ruins credibility and makes it extremely obvious he's the secret boss.
