Tropius's eyes aren't really that big in proportion to the rest of its head and it doesn't have a tail. It's legs are also too short and stubby to look like a horses. Also doesn't have a tail that I know of.

Anyone who honestly sees MLP in anything with big eyes is really reaching for excuses to hate on the series as much as they can. I'm no fan of MLP, but I see nothing in Aurorus that resembles a pony. It's just as ridiculous as people who obsess over Keldeo looking like an MLP pony. I hate to tell people this but MLP did not gain the monopoly on big eyes. Just get the fuck over it.
