/vp/, im having a dilemma, i want to restart my soulsilver, but not lose the pokemon i have. the reason why is i want to catch a premade group of low levels and use them, like a ghastly or a houndour or other pokemon i never use. ive no idea how to go about this without buying a seperate ds and heart gold or soul silver

wat do?

I genned a bunch of low level pokemon that you couldnt get at the start of the game in black 2, like dratini, timburr, swinub and some others. Taught them only the moves they would have learned at that level and went through the game with them, it was some of the most fun I ever had with a pokemon game

just restart it, its worth it

You can load them onto your PC using a program called IR-GTS.

The program will give you an IP address that you use enter on your DS as a default gateway (instead of the DS searching for the regular GTS online). Once you're set with that portion, you can enter the GTS in SoulSilver -- at which point any you offer up for trade are instead saved as .pkm files on your own PC. They can be re-acquired later by sending them from your PC back through the GTS to SoulSilver.

These are, however, copies of your originals -- your DS will actually retain your entire roster, meaning you can duplicate items this way, if you choose.

Nope, you shouldn't have any problems with accessing your WiFi.

Just turn off the "Auto-obtain DNS" in the Nintendo WFC Settings menu and enter whatever the IR-GTS program tells you.

its more or less, the internet cant be accessed without inputting a specific DNS server. if not manually input, it says its connected but doesnt show anything nor does it access websites

Are you altering the DNS on a menu on a 3DS, or are you changing it in SoulSilver?

To use the IR-GTS program, you just need to tell SoulSilver to follow a specific path with the Nintendo WFC Settings options found on its main menu.
