Depending on how bad the scratches are you could try furniture polish or car wax if the furniture polish doesn't work. Apply a very tiny amount to a dust rag and wipe it on.

If you want a real answer you can use a very mild abrasive then wax it with carnuba or something.

Baking soda, toothpaste, whatever.

If they're really deep then you can try that crap in auto stores that cleans the polycarbonate headlamps on cars.

serously get a case if you really care. That hori thing is like 7 bucks on amazon sales.

I would avoid doing the abrasive thing unless you don't mind scrubbing the pikachu design off - because that's going to happen.

I know this from experience - I tried polishing scratches off of my pokewalker.

I ended up with a premier ball.

I got a Midnight Purple 3DS. Put it in my pocket for just a few seconds while I helped someone. WHen I got it out theres 3 wite scratches on the top. I MUST by a decal now. i cant take this shit.

The beautiful deep purple is ruined when Light hits it from an angle.

just get a skinomi shield skin for it. I got one for my Eevee 3DS and it's nice, adds essentially no size to the system. It covers basically the whole system, but I only kept the front+back pieces on since those are the only pieces (the back piece, mostly) I was afraid of scratching.
