As someone new to the whole "giving a shit about your pokemon" thing I enjoyed this
All my previous gens have just been solo with absolutely no competitive aspect and this guy breaks down what's going on really well. Also he seems chill as fuck. Would watch more.

His constant use of what I like to call "niggerspeak" makes his videos almost unwatchable.

pokeaimMD is probably my favourite in terms of watching someone good who knows how to play the game. I enjoy watching Shadypenguinn too though cause he genuinely seems like he just wants to play for fun, uses less common Pokemon and has solid narration. He doesn't pretend to be pro, "it is what it is".

This. He doesn't see most of those coming because they're awful plays. You can throw good Pokemon players off by just being really awful if they haven't played you before. I used to win at Ubers by finding the worst move I could make and doing it.

This is how you know that OU or Uber doesn't necessarily mean the pokemon are strong. So many things can fuck over a "professional" by battling someone that doesn't have any idea what they're doing. If you don't know you're opponent, you have no way of accurately gaging their aptitude, so there are times you greatly over-predict what they will do and end up getting fucked over. For example

>Do heavy damage to opponent
>Expect them to switch out
>Use move that would be best case scenario against a possible switch in
>Player stays in
>OHKO's with rarely seen move
