Why can't we get a main series game that shakes shit up?
You don't pick from 3 main starters, you just catch something at random.
You don't battle gym leaders, you travel the world with another goal, such as finding something or someone.
What if the story was about a quest to evolve your beloved starting pokemon, and all of the possible pokemon are evolved through story events, and at the end you finally achieve your goal? Wouldn't that be cool? I just want a game with more in-depth story, same childish and carefree humor, but no boring gym battles -> beat the bad guys -> elite 4 format anymore. Can't we have something different?
