if you cant counter the mega charizards you just have the wrong team... ive made a habit outa not letting either char x or y get a single move off... as for mega pinsir ive never fought one... but mine doesnt seem that hard to counter its bug flying for fucks sake

Funny enough, Pokemon is one of the few RPGs still designed like an RPG, where stuff is designed more like it's a lived-in world along with all the tedium associated with that design (IVs mean some pokemon are naturally stronger, natures etc) despite being called babby's first RPG. These days lots of RPGs get overly obsessed with balancing the gameplay side and end up creating completely flavorless games.
