>>18257918>not keeping it Dark/Dragon>not going full Hydra>not giving it MoodyCut off one head, two more grow in its place... It'd be banned from Ubers, though, at least according to the current clauses.
>>18258548Garchomp has 102 base speed, Mega Gardevoir has 100. Everyone else has pointed out how dumb you are for Poison Jab, I'm going to point out how dumb you are for bothering to mention Choice Scarf against something that will always be slower than max speed Garchomp.
>>18261468>Bronzong>>18268244>not having a Hydreigon of your own by thenAnd to actually answer OP's question, people never liked Hydreigon very much because it's harder to use than other dragons. You can't just "m-muh button" or even "m-muh Scarf/Specs Meteor" everything blindly and expect to win. Hydreigon, like every single other Dark-type ever, takes skill to use effectively. Gen V Hydreigon had NO counters, yet was always near the bottom of OU because it's not as brainless as the tier's other Dragons. Gen VI Hydreigon can still defeat any switch-in that isn't named Azumarill with the right move (and a lot of luck)... but that's not to say that it should be staying in (or running the requisite attacks) to prove it. It's a pivot and a wallbreaker, and a damn good one at that. It's just that using Hydreigon well, at least in the more offense-oriented tiers like OU, requires a level of predictive skill that most players simply don't want to bother with.
Which is their loss, since the Steel nerf has arguably made Hydreigon a better Pokemon this gen than before, thanks to Fairies neutering Fighting-types while being too slow to hit Scarf Hydreigon before it gets a chance to U-Turn into the Aegislash that perfectly covers all of its weaknesses.
