Youtube only gives shitty "TOP TEN SUPEREST ROMHACKS IN TEH OONIVURSE"

I really don't know which one to play.

I just started playing DarkViolet (basically an overhaul of FRLG with changed assets, phys/special split, new music, multiple rivals, etc) and its pretty fun if you're in the mood for a Kanto playthrough.

It depends on what you're looking for. Want the same basic game but with changes/improvements? Yet Another FireRed Hack, FireRed Omega, Expert Emerald, Platinum Enhanced, Flawless Platinum, Sacred Gold/Storm Silver, or Volt White/Blaze Black (and the sequels) would be up your alley. Want essentially a new game, with a new region, plot, and possibly new Pokemon? Light Platinum and Flora Sky are hailed as some of the better ones. Though I think all romhacks of the latter variety are kind of shitty and don't like to play them.

Pokemon Altair/Sirius, Vega, Procyon/Deneb
Are all pretty amazing. They're complete redesigns with new Pokemon and evolutions of older Pokemon. Procyon/Deneb I think are still in development idk but Altair/Sirius and Vega are done.
