Liking bugs is suffering, at least Pinsir and Scizor got decent megas this gen.

I think Bug is weirdly balanced; on paper it's a bad type defensively and a horrid type offensively, but its resistances tend to be good for type combos and there are a lot of Bugs with great stats and movepools. At least it's not Ice or Psychic.

Also, it's fucking stupid that more Flying types learn U-Turn (aka the good Bug attack) than Bug types.

My point about no bug-type Horn Leech stands strongest. Imagine how good some bulky bugs would be if they got semireliable recovery. AV Escavalier would wreck shit if it could sustain itself with a monstrous attack like that.

Also, Bug/Dragon when, bug-type legendary when, good nonlegendary bug-types when? For real, I get that some types are supposed to be intrinsically weaker than others, but in my opinion that oughta be kept to the type matchups and not the Pokemon themselves.

Can anyone recommend some good Bug-types that aren't Scizor or Pinsir to use in OU and UU?

they had a perfect opportunity with the knight theme and all and it really needs something to help it stand out from the other bug/steels that completely outclass it, he's still awesome either way

Really, even Heatproof would have helped (although with the buff to Overcoat both would be serviceable). On the topic, Durant also should have gotten Heatproof considering the dex entries about it shielding itself from Heatmor with metal (which, in hindsight, was probably not the most effective idea).

do you guys think this set could be viable in UU? I put fury cutter instead of bug bite since it got a buff this gen to base 40 power and it doubles every consecutive hit.
