>>18274291I think we will. The first step when entering the GTS is connecting to your wireless network. Then the game checks if the server it is trying to connect to responds. If we try to connect to Nintendo's servers with a normal DNS, nintendo's servers will simply not respond and we're booted out of the GTS.
If, however, we connect to pokécheck using that custom DNS, we won't even attempt to connect to nintendo's servers, and the game will get a response from pokécheck, and everything will work just as it used to.
Tl:Dr; Don't worry about pokécheck, we don't even connect to nintendo's servers using pokécheck/gen. And I sure as hell don't expect them to suddenly patch DPPt so we can't enter the GTS building when they've had years of time to try and patch other bugs, which they didn't.
Besides, if we can't enter the GTS legitimately anymore, we'll just tweak inside. There is NOTHING nintendo can do to stop us from genning or checking pokémon. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if people found a way to set up small P2P networks, like the PSP homebrew community has for playing mhp3rd online.
