Right now, with 2 or 3 dragon dances it can't deal more tan 25% health to anyone. Even in UU.

It needs the attack way more.
Plus since it already has cotton guard you can just use it once than use roost.

Anon pls, I know that Fur Coat is bs, but what about a defiant-like ability for Def or S.def? Every stat drops raises Def by one stage, or a speed boost-like ability, "Strategist - Every turn this pokémon raises its defense by one stage"

I didn't even suggest an ability for it.
But stat wise it needs an Attack boost. Making it bulky wont matter fuck all when you need to attack 17 times to knock out an enemy

Just make it Rash/Naughty and invest fully in offenses, you won't need any Speed Ev since you almost tie with fucking Deoxys-S.

Maybe put just some points in Speed to Outspeed sanic himself and you're set.

Protect, Thunderpunch/Shadow Claw, Flare Blitz/Blaze Kick and Hi Jump Kick and you're set to tear appart everything.

You can still use Swords Dance anyway if you force something out before going mega, or Hone Claws if you're paranoid about HJK and take Blaze Kick instead of Flare Blitz to avoid wasting that bulk

Yeah too spread out. Sap Sipper is fine, though probably sub-optimal. If it isn't borderline uber, you don't have the GF spirit in mind. If you want it to be both strong and bulky, try pure power or something.

If Heatran can survive in a meta full of EQ users, I think it'd be fine. Not to mention they don't know if you're an X, Y or Z so using an EQ first turn is risky. You'd outspeed and kill EQ users after one attack boost and dragon dance anyway.

Though I do agree a levitating/flight capable robot "dragon" makes sense.

Nothing would change, except he'd lose his item slot. Speed and the prankster side of the ability mean nothing when he imposter transforms as soon as he's sent out.
The only thing that could help a mega ditto violates the cardinal rule of megas: no HP increase.

Buffing speed + no weaknesses would be a fucking huge trade-off. It would make it straight up broken.

Stat Spread:

Goes from being a fake monster to being a fake ghost ship, and returning to the more superior Bug/Water typing.

Now you've got the best U-turner scout instead of just trying to be another Gengar or some sort of weird Volcarona. You have lightning fast U-turns boosted by STAB, fantastic Draco Meteor nukes which don't have to be your main attack anymore, you can just swap out.
