I admit that EV's arent bad, they arent hard to train for now and are pretty much essential.

IV's on the other hand are fucking retarded tedious pieces of shit that shouldn't exist. I want to play competitive but I'm not spending 200 fucking hours making a perfect IV team.

They are pretty much the worst thing about pokemon and thats coming from someone who adores pretty much everything about the series.

It takes like 20 to 30 minutes to breed a competitively viable Pokemon if you have a ditto nowadays. And people are literally handing out 6 iv dittos due to cloning and genning. Shit aint hard anymore. If this were any other gen I'd be more inclined to agree, but now its really quite easy if you have the knowledge.

But now that bank is out and like 50% of the meta hinges on bankmons that learn skills via tutors that don't exist in Gen VI and legendaries, IVs are definitely still a problem.

Especially in the case of legendaries. If you don't know how to RNG stuff and aren't willing to use pokegen, it's insanely difficult to get a Heatran, per se, that doesn't have utter shit for IVs.

Legendaries are honestly the biggest problem with IVs. They encourage hacking more than another other aspect of the game since there's literally no way to have a better chance than 1 / (2 * 31^6) to get a hexaperfect with the right nature if you're playing the game normally, even with a synch pokemon. That's pretty bullshit, especially considering how prominent legendaries are throughout most of the tiers.

not in my experience. On average it takes far longer than 30mins to get 6 perfect IVs (which you'll need in every single case except pure physical attackers if you want the best stats) and there's still the issue of legendaries and 5th gen or before only tutor moves, where the breeding mechanics are even worse. And the fact that you need to a hack a Pokemon to breed with just to get to that point makes IVs still laughably bad.

Its actually more a pain in the ass to get the EVs of a pokemon than it is to get the IVs, especially with how they had the gall to make it so hordes can't be summoned out with sweet scent under rain.

I think Gamefreak could make a Pokemon have Individuality by just design only like notch eared Pichu or more colors then just normal/shiny.

Maybe if GF retcons the vitamins or make new ones to raise IVs i'll stop complaining.

The 'casuals' might learn things such as strategies and that by playing ans losing, but one cannot learn about IVs without getting in non-official pages, so GameFreak is negating that part of the game to the majority of the people that would play the game.

Exactly, I completely agree with this. Plus it's easier to notice than fucking minor stat changes that you can't even see after random EV spreads anyway.
