I could kick myself.

I was horde ev training my klefki for HP in route 5. I'm about to run when I notice OH FUCK, this scraggy is darker than the rest! So I use ice beam to ko 3 of em. I switch to gloom to ko the last one and use acid. I didn't know acid hit every pokemon in a horde.

Got these babies just this week. I especially love my new freedom bird.
This week I'm going after a Lucario, mostly because I'm a sucker for yellow shinies. It's a shame it's Mega form doesn't stay yellow, but veers into a more snot-green color, but hey.

Heck, I'm so paranoid about the "Shiny-Zangoose/Seviper in Seviper/Zangoose Horde" happening that I have mons in both games prepared for that situation (Chatot with Synchronoise in X, low-level Earthquake user in Y). I also have a Magcargo for the "Shiny Heatmor in Durant Horde" case. (though I should probably get a faster Lava Plume user - and maybe one that's not so high level that it'd kill off Heatmor too)

I don't recall if it was ever explained anywhere, but if you transfer a Pokemon caught in an Apricorn ball from HG/SS over to X/Y does it keep that style of ball? If so, does the ball style stay the same even when you breed with it?

Heyo /shw/, how's everyone doing today?
I hatched this dapper little fuck last night, on box 34. It was exactly egg 1000, so that's pretty neat. It's missing Sp. Attack, but it's a 24, so I'm not too torn up about it.
I'll be at 22 Steel shinies just as soon as I evolve it.

Ive watched loads of shiny reaction videos, and even though I love catchin shinies (Why else would I be here?) I wonder if I am missing something.

For me the reaction is basically, I quickly mumble in suprise something like "Fuckyea!" and clap once. Then get on with it. Sometimes if its been a long hunt I throw my hands up.

My reaction when finding my shiny Sap Poochyena was being extremely shocked upon seeing one and getting my first Gen III shiny. I then started screaming silently for a good 2 minutes and then forcefully calming myself down to ensure I can manage to catch her without screwing up. After catching her, I had an insanely dumb grin plastered on my face for the entire day.

Any other shinies I've encountered (though to be fair, I've only encountered Magikarp and Zubat) just made me a bit excited, and I try and catch them like a usual mon. Nothing overreactive or special, though.

I was reminiscing my lost shiny Staraptor, Amelia, one of the few random 1/8192 shinies I've ever come across in the wild I accidentally deleted the save she was in while starting a new game, I forgot I had traded her to my Soul Silver, so I decided to try my luck and MM another one.

And shokingly enough, _15 eggs later I got him. Named him Emilio instead. I even got lucky with the HA, he has Reckless. Too bad I forgot Double Edge is an egg move.

I also found shiny Minccino and shiny Liepard on Safaris earlier this week. My boyfriend got an accidental shiny Hippopotas while IV breeding, that was pretty cool too.

I love watching shiny hunting videos (whether they catch it or run from it/faint it), I think I get ASMR from the way pressing the DS/GBA buttons sound on a video, it just sounds so nice.

I catched my first shiny in Sapphire in 03' and I didnt know what a shiny was at the time, only that a green zubat seemed odd so I catched it

The second time I played on my friends Emerald in 05' and we both knew at that time what shiny was, I was hunting for mons in the safari zone to complete my dex on Sapphire when I encountered a shiny Gligar, I was super excited and my friend said he woukd catch it, then he accidently ran away from it due a safari zone habbit

the only shiny I got after that is shiny Froakie after around 10 boxes, and I didnt even smile, I sighed 2 times when I saw it was a torrent and all other in the batch was Protean, and now, I am on my spree to get the damn Deino after over 600 eggs, and I dont think I am going to be so happy, rather mad, thats how my feelings are now, if a down a progress boss in wow I am just motionless for some reason. The only things who keep me happy nowdays is my dog haha

But never hunted in a safari zone, I dont have enough faith in myself to catch something there. Never been any good at safari zones.

You don't need a reason to MM anything here, mate.

I'd probably say either Vaporeon or Sylveon, as they have good bulk and nice defensive typings. Sylveon expecially resists many a common offensive move and is completely immune to Dragon.

This week I'm happy to say that I finally completed my all shiny team.

Foxtrot the Ninetails
Ghostly Stu the Gourgeist
Shenanigans the Cloyster
and Radical Rex the Tyrantrum

I'm so happy to have them, I'm still trying to figure out a good way to use the Tyrantrum though, any tips?

I have Earthquake, Fire Fang (to work with his Strong Jaw ability), Dragon Claw, and Stone Edge on him right now, and I'm considering taking out Earthquake for Crunch, with Health and Attack EVs maxed out.
