Whenever I talk to someone that I havent talked to in months/years:

>Random person: "So, what do you do in your free time?"
>Me: I watch movies, some TV series and play some video games.
>Chick: What video games?
>Me: Mostly Pokemon.
>Random person: Hahaha. Pokemon?? You're kidding, aren't you? You mean Ash and Pikachu? Isn't this game for little kids? Nerd, geek, antisocial freak.
>Me: If you haven't played any of Pokemon games, you can't judge neither me nor the game. Please respect my tastes.
>Random person: NEEEEEEEEERD.

So people, what are some effective arguments on why Pokemon games are good which ordinary people can understand immediately without having to play the game themselves?
