Mega Gyarados is fantastic in every aspect.

It's perfect flavor-wise. Gyarados hardly learns any Flying-type moves, it should not be surprising that Mega Gyarados doesn't learn many Dark-type moves either. It's getting Knock Off in the next games, anyway. They gave Superpower to Flygon in Gen 5, so anything can happen.

If your not running a DDance set, Payback would hurt like shit since MegaGyra isn't pretty fast. I'd run Brave nature with 0 speed IV to take advantage of that Dark STAB.

But now, with new crit mechanics, he has 100% crit chance on Slash, Leaf Blade, Air Cutter, Night Slash... Bounce was actually quite a good move on Gyara at one point (Gen 4, I think?).

Dragon Dance, Waterfall, Ice Fang for Venusaur, EQ for Rotom-W.

Gyara kinda has to worry about Azumarrill. Why would you run Crunch, other than STAB?
