The only for sure thing is this: there is no "Modest if I get HP Ice." Your IVs and Nature get locked in at the same time, so when and if you do get HP Ice, it will be exactly what nature you've been breeding it for. Make that particular decision now, and if you're gonna breed for HP Ice, make it Modest. (This is also probably the smartest thing to do, albeit time-consuming.)
