That season was super fucking intense. I couldn't sleep right for a week after how stressed it left me.
Portlandia's great imo. Fred Armisen has always been one of my favorite players on SNL, but I felt he really gets to shine more in Portlandia. The amazing part about it is that even at it's quirkiest, it's been attested that it's still pretty accurate for everyday life in Portland.

I feel that hoard hunting before getting the Shiny Charm might have been a mistake. The more I run the numbers, the sillier it seems.
Without it, the odds are 1/4096 for each, so effectively 5/4096 or about 1/820. With it, the odds theoretically become 2/4096 or 1/2048, which becomes effectively 5/2048, or about 1/410. That's hilariously likely compared to the 1/8192 of days yore.

Excuse my math rant. I really am just rambling at this point.

Go to the Battle Institute, whih raises all of your Pokemon to level 50. Check those stats, plug them into an IV calculator (Google it, there's hundreds that all work great), and plug them in. Post results.

But that's it for me, guys. 150 (+1 for good measure) hoard encounters and nothing yet. I have not yet begun to lose faith. Maybe my luck will be good tomorrow.

I'm not sure if you were here before I went to sleep. Whoops helped me test this out by having 1000 encounters without exiting the safari while i had 1000 encounters after re-entering after every 10 encounters. Then we would compare who got more shinies. He got to 300 and found nothing while I found dusclops at re-entry 6, one pumpkaboo at re-entry 20 and the other at re-entry 60 i think. What's interesting is that none of them were the first encounter of it's species.

Altough this might seem the theory works, with only one person testing each way the data is unconclusive. We need at least 3 more people doing the re-entry method and 3 more hunting without exiting.

Nice! I don't think most people are aware of this, but the shiny doesn't have to appear on the first encounter of it's species. The new way is to have 10 encounters before re-entering as opposed to finding all 3 pokemon.

Shiny Trevenant GET !

I was EV training three shinies (Venusaur, Marshtomp and Arbok) on Route 20 when a white tree came along with her friends (the five of them were female). I quickly dispatched the four others... Before noticing I had nothing to weaken it, so I started spamming balls.

It went into the second Honor Ball I threw, and, as the battle ended, my Marshtomp evolved into Swampert. Nice catch for me, especially considering I wanted it.
