So I want to Nuzlocke Pokemon X.

But before I destroy my save file, [speaking of which, can I just backup it and then restore it once I'm done?] I was wondering about a few things from those of you who di it.

Is it as fun as it looks? Cause every grass patch has like 100 Pokemon in it, so yeah.
Also, exp share on or off?

It up to you on if you want to use the exp share. I'll admit I have it on but I'm limiting myself to 1 level below the next gym leader's strongest pokemon and not using items in battle.

No. The best option is to upload all your Pokemon to Pokemon Bank for the duration of your Nuzlocke. Alternatively trade them over to a trusted friend or second copy.

Alternatively, if you qualify for the the free X/Y promo right now, you could get one of those to use exclusively for Nuzlockes. THat's what I'm doing.

Aight, I just can't remember how the game scales, i.e did they basically design the game assuming you have it turned on?
