I'm still dicking around with Gameshark in Pokemon Crystal, and have learned a surprising amount considering none of the sites I'm getting information from has been updated since 2001.

I keep running into issues though that I don't understand.

There are two cheats.

Atk & Def DV: 01xxF4DC

Spd & Spc DV: 01xxF5DC


I know DVs in gen 2 cap at 15.

What I don't get is if I fill out those spaces with F's, level up the pokemon in question, and run its stats through a gen 2 DV calculator, it throws up errors saying that the special attack and special defense DVs don't match, and that the HP is too high to check out.

If I'm putting in 15's across the board, why don't the stats check out?

I have no idea who I could possibly ask, I don't have any friends that are into Pokemon romhacking, and all of the data online is 12 years old.
