the destiny knot only guarantees 5 ivs from EITHER parent, so they could come from the scatterbug

with diligence you should eventually breed a good scatterbug parent too

(i also have some spare 5iv scatterbug leftovers that i just bred today if u want them. or a modest 4iv)

No, they're not pentaperfect, they're breeding trash. But it would save you a decent amount of time to not have to start from scratch with the scatterbug parent

Not OP but I have a question about EV training.

If you're EV training with EXP Share, is it correct to put Macho Brace/Power Items on the Pokemon who you are EV training, or the Pokemon who is actually doing the fighting? Or does it not matter?

Put it on the one you're EV training. And Power items + Horde training is by far the fastest

Just let the female one I gave you hold Everstone and a male River Scatterbug hold the Destiny Knot, and eventually you should get a 5IV Timid one.

Obviously as you get better and better males (from no perfect IVs to 2, 3, 4 perfect IVs) switch those in as the new male to breed with the original mother for a higher chance of a 5iv baby.
