Gamefreak removing their retarded IV system so that there is no need to hack, and the only people who hack are ones who make obviously impossible shit with artificially boosted stats just for shits and giggles. Why does it really matter though, I mean it doesn't matter to me what someone else does with his copy of the game.

This. The only good way to prevent hacking is eliminating the need to hack.

Eliminate IV's, put in a proper move tutor who can teach egg moves (let it cost heart scales or something) and define hidden power type some other way.

No matter what GF does, the game will still end up being hacked. The fanbase is too large for it to not happen.

Even if it is deemed unhackable, someone will find a way. In the very least it will still end up datamined.

It's really about removing the need for hacking the game. Not so much the ability to hack it. Removing the IV and EV system is part of the solution.

Even if IVs and EVs were removed, nothing would stop people from hacking shinies or fully trained Pokemon with egg moves. As long as training takes time, there are people who will take any shortcut available.

There is also no penalty to hacking Pokemon unlike other games where your account will get banned.

How about a Battle Maison item that allows you to change the color on your Pokemon? Call it color capsule. That should do the trick.

There is potential in BP prizes.
For 200 points, the Ability capsule should let you pick the hidden ability.
Then have an upper level for Event mon's and a shiny capsule costing from 500-1000.

This. I'm hoping that if gamefreak ever gets it together and makes a console main series game that they'll realize the content capacity for the game is huge and that textures for 3D models take up a fraction of it. If shinies were just perhaps the rarest color variant but you could have a range of colors patterns (spots OR stripey marks for Bulbasaur and it comes in a range of cool colors from deep blue to purple-ish) that could be bred, I'd honestly not care about shinies that much anymore unless I just LOVED that particular color variant. Breeding is now so easy it's no big deal to get yourself a perfect 5-6 IV mon, with egg moves being the biggest hassle. If the worst I had to deal with was hunting down that particular Solosis that was just the right shade of green that I like, I wouldn't care that I'd have to take maybe ten minutes to slap it in the daycare with a good compatible parent and hatch a couple eggs looking for a good one. At least that's my two cents. At this point it really is more about the hassle of breeding five billion eggs for a shiny than it is about the stats and moves.

Have wifi battles become completely different from the regular game. Or at least have an option where you can create a team of six pokemon with perfect ivs, evs where you want them and legal movesets. Being able to change gender and whether they're shiny or not. Basically install pokemon showdown as part of wifi battles. The pokemon cant leave this mode. Its entirely for fun. No pokemon is off the table. You can still battle your dumbass friends with your shitty pokemon too. But only over local wireless. Since you could recreate your shitty pokemon with the other option.
