Houndoom is actually capable of accomplishing things with a Nasty Plot set. It's a shame his ability is only good under sun and makes him "outclassed" by Y-zard, though realistically it just means his ability is worthless.

Now, Abomasnow, Ampharos, and Banette are all worse.

Maybe if you don't know how to use it, Abomasnow is great in Trick room teams thanks to his monster of an attack stat and sinfully slow speed stat, not to mention his decent bulk buff his Mega gives, letting him tank anything that isn't supereffective.

It's like, Life Orb Garchomp isn't worse than Garchomp as a pokemon overall, it's just one of Garchomp's many possible sets.

The fact that it exists at all adds to Garchomp's viability, because it makes it even more unpredictable.

You need to use Water Spout on it.

I set up Priority Tailwind right before Brave Bird is about to die, then send out this bad boy.

Mega Blastoise Water Spout clears nearly the entire team after hazards, with Aura Sphere, etc for coverage.

You'll either have to gamble with your opponent or waste that first turn using protect.

Charizard also fears Rock Slide. Because of that 100 base speed, he would sometimes rather chose to leave the field than staying. Lefting Venusaur without his precious sun boost.

I've been using Mega Aerodactyl and it's been pretty good. With that speed stat you can afford to run Adamant instead of Jolly, and with Adamant Mega Aerodactyl outdamages Life Orb Jolly Aerodactyl, even with moves not boosted by Tough Claws. He's slightly bulkier too, at least enough to survive a Bullet Punch from Mega Luke. Regular Aerodactyl falls to that and has to deal with Life Orb draining. Can't Mega Evolve on the first turn if it's faced with something like Greninja though, Greninja'll outspeed and OHKO with Surf or something.

Even if Prankster's active Trick Room will always be negative priority anyway since it's already lowest on the priority tiers. Though you'd have to take a hit anyway if they attack on the turn you use Trick Room, whether you went first or not.

I run Adamant with 252Atk/252Spd, though it easily outspeeds 130 base speed so if you do some calcs then maybe you can fit in some spare EVs into HP. Only stuff you'll need to worry about are Mega Manectric and Mega Alakazam with speed boosting natures, though speed-invested Electrode and Accelgor along with Ninjask outspeed it too in addition to Uber legendaries and priority. The turn it Mega Evolves is tricky if you're up against fast stuff like Greninja as mentioned, since neutral speed 130 on its own the first turn isn't that significant.

Why do you want to use it in trick room though? Banette wants to be as slow as it can be, so it can do an effective rotation of destiny bond -> attack -> destiny bond -> attack, always ensuring your destiny bond is "active", assuming your attack is after the opponent.

Adamant with max atk. Just enough speed EVs to outrun everything relevant, then the rest in HP. You don't need to make him jolly because the extra speed is wasted when you could be getting 10% more atk.
