I mean, remakes happen from time to time, but I don't think anyone does it as regularly as Game Freak.

It's not enough to get a real pattern. Hopefully they'll do no more remakes

They ahd to make remakes of gen I and II because the original games were incompatible with everything gen III and up, and GF values connectivity/continuity.

Pretty sure that OP meant third versions like Platinum and stuff, which could by a stretch be considered remakes. Still a faggot though.
