I mean, you guys who are actually complaining about things like Giovanni couldn't possibly be suggesting they should've done a 1:1 adaptation of FR/LG, right? Shit would've been boring as fuck. The story in the original games was pretty simple since it was, you know, the first in the series.
I'm also actually satisfied with the amount of content it had. Yeah, it would've been cool to see the rest of the game done, but really without a bunch of original content piled on (like the first anime did) a lot of it would've been really standard and boring. Most of the stuff they cut out was literally "go here, fight this" or game exploration stuff that wouldn't be entertaining as a show. If you want that shit just go play the fucking game.
The show is very obviously a genwunner-pandering ad for X/Y, but they did a great job even with that.
