Every once in a while, I'll receive something useful, but it's fine if I don't since I'm still getting my main objective met from WT. I do occasionally get 'Thanks' from strangers who appreciate the leftovers I give out at times (ex. love ball egg move 4 iv+ feebas), and sometimes I WT them away knowing they'll be released/re-circulated (my egg move Huge Power Premier ball 4iv+ bunnelbys). Both are fine. I don't give things out with the expectation of being thanked or rewarded because that implies that for any given sample set of WT 'batches,' you'll find grateful people.
Friendly reminder to release all mons you've received from WTing and don't plan on using. It will make WT a better place for both you and others.
Your wage for Wonder Trading is Pokemiles. Everything else is a holiday bonus (which, granted, are very nice at times).
