To me that's Pokemon Emerald. I just beated Pokemon Y league and I'm really dissapointed with the Battle Mansion. I haven't played Pokemon BW2, it's the post-league content really worth it? I don't want to breed a perfect team just to battle people, I want a challenge within the game and I've seen BW2 has a harder mode or something.

I don't remember what they had but was it really better than Battle Frontier? Also the Regi capture was the best Legendary pokemon capture for me

Kanto is the second-half of the tiny Johto region.
And it still has less content than Hoenn.

I'll rephrase my question then. Which game has the best Post-league challenge? One that would be hard to pass without bred pokemons. I barely played HG/SS and the 4th generation, only played black version of the 5th.

I should have known people would agree with me. It's a strange feeling. Well, and after Emerald? I just want to play the closest in fun and challenge terms to the Battle Frontier. I've heard is BW2, one of the only 3 games I haven't played. So yeah this thread basically decides if I buy BW2. Can you fight vs people with x/y with BW"?

Getting challenge mode in BW2 requires you have access to a B2 cart where the E4 has already been beaten so that you can be given the "key" to unlock the setting. Worst implementation possible unless you play on an emulator where its a non issue. Challenge mode is only a little harder though, but worth it. The world tournament, battle subway, and to some the white treehollow/black tower in BW2 are the best postgame gen 4+ imo

No, because Gen V does not have the information on new types, moves, and pokemon. Same reason you had to be careful when trading between Gen I and Gen II.

Personally, I like the Pokemon World Tournament in BW2. Basically, you can go up against any trainer in the series up to that point.

If you found Battle Maison unsatisfying, Battle Subway will be the same and PWT, though cool, is easy as hell even with in game teams.
So your best bet is going back to gen IV and doing Battle Frontier.

Does anyone else absolutely love the Battle Factory?
There's nothing more fun to me than getting a batch of random presets and making strategies on the fly. Gradually building a good team on conquered opponents and going as far as you can is such fun.

Emerald Battle Factory is the reason I got interested in building competent teams for Battle Frontier and later in competitive pokemon.
I slowly learned what makes a good moveset, how important items might be, what is a good stat and later I came to know the importance of EVs/IVs/Natures only because I got interested in the Battle Factory.

That was the same for me, until Emerald I just beat the league, catch the legendaries, leveled 6 pokemon to 100 to battle friends and stop playing quickly.

I haven't done the same training I did in Emerald with any game. If they don't do it because it takes too much of their time (like, Emerald wasn't that different from Rubi and Zafire, so they must have spend a lot of time developing the Battle Frontier) they could make a pass on their "no DLC" politic (yeah, they are like "we are so good because we don't use DLC" but they sell the same game over and over) and create a fricking Battle Frontier DLC.

BW2 has a hard mode, true. And it also has the Pokemon World Tournament aka battle every single gym leader and champion ever in a tournament (except e4). And hopefully the actual world champion teams are around there before nintendo shuts down the wifi service (they're downloadable but way harder than anything you will face).

So yes, BW2 has a decent post game content.
