How long has munna been in planning?
Pokemon red outside mount moon 'there should be a pink pokemon with a floral pattern'
And in season 1 episode 26 it says drowsee is a descendant of the dream eating tapir
So now there is a pink dream eating tapir with a floral pattern
Anyone else find any more things like thid

I'd say it was the other way around. Since Gen 5 was rushed and they didn't have a lot of time to design and balance things out they rolled with the line from the Gen 1 one games.

Girafarig, marill, blaziken/latias. They were all planned prior to game release and since a game released this year had been in development for the past five years, it makes sense. That or the devs procrastinate and dug up some old dusty designs.

Eh, Drowzee itself is a dream-eating tapir. Both Drowzee and Munna are based on the baku, which in modern times is seen as a sort of tapir because of its trunk. Even the Japanese word for tapir is baku. Munna and Drowzee are just different concepts based on baku.
