I don't really care too much. I'll pop in now and then, but the fact that they move at a slugma's pace makes me lose interest after a few minutes. But of course, I don't really care much for watching people play games unless it's people that I care about.

I can see why the Gator debate. He's the strongest pokemon, but he's also a starter. To have him as the crutch instead of a normally vendor trash pokemon like Pidgey isn't as LEL EPIC MAYMAYS, so they want to get rid of him so they can something like THE BUTTERFREE OF DOOM

Nah, I think it's because the other game was a bit more balanced. Pidgeot was overleveled, sure, but the other mons received some training and then there was Zapdos. Currently the only evolved Pokemon are gatr and Metapod.

Makes the game boring because GSC has a shit level curve and overleveled water type with 4 attacking moves sweeps everything. Pidgeot wasn't able to solo Red because it had shit attacks and because RBY actually had balanced types and levels for single-player.

Really, the blazing progress and the fact that the starter shadows the team by 30 levels sucks away all the magic the first run had. There's just no challenge anymore. The new system seemed like a good idea at first, but a shitload of bots, from what is likely a single person has turned this game into 1 person plays Pokemon every hour.

Democracy didn't ruin the fun. Knowing the risks ruined the fun. We didn't think going into it about the possibility of releasing Pokemon, digrat, etc. and we usually only saw one obstacle ahead save for big things like Victory Road/E4. Hell, most people didn't even think of the safari zone until after Surge. The new map obstacles we're finding just aren't as funny as the big things like PC of death or pokeflute were at the time. It was fun as hell for like 6 days, though.
