Matchups that are unfair (such as Electric vs Ground, or Psychic vs Dark) are going to be manually prevented, but the rest of the bracket will be random. You could be fighting anyone, and that potentially means that trainers will fight other trainers of the same type.

If you've got a Choiced Taunt, you can at least turn off Pokemon without many attacking moves (like Chansey, for example) so that you can safely switch something else in.
Same logic for Will-o-Wisp, I suppose; if they're sending in something like Tyrannitar that Chandi can't touch, you can at least burn them to get another Pokemon in without taking too much damage.

With Modest I was able to run Assault Vest, which is better than Sash vs special attackers.
Solar Power Heliolisk is the real heavy hitter. Dry Skin is more of a fast pivot with offensive coverage to hit everything for neutral or better, and a situational counter to certain Pokemon.

Slurpuff is great, I open with him whenever I know the enemy is going to use sleep like Spore Breloom, because most people don't realize Slurpuff has an AoE Insomnia for your team. I use a Focus Sash on him so gaurentee he can at least get 1 SE move out if he's slower, or 2 if he's faster. In the case of Magnezone, I'll use Flamethrower, take a Flash Cannon, eat my Focus Sash, and Flamethrower again for the exchange win.
Baton Pass has always interested me, but I'm paranoid of the enemy doing something to fuck it up.

I would say my Sylveon too, but he's mostly good for Triples with Calm Mind and Hyper Voice. He either gets focused and dies, allowing my other 2 mons to set up to murder, or he gets Calm Mind off and all of the sudden I'm nearly 1-shotting all 3 of the enemy mons that aren't special walls.
