Holy shit I wasn't even looking for a shiny, I was just checking my new friend safaris and this beauty popped up after 2 encounters. It's outstanding with max hp attack and defence, jolly with water veil. I think that's amazing. Only way it could had been better was a third in speed but I'm not complaining! I actually like him very much.

I thought that I was done breeding shiny pokemon, but somehow I started again last week breeding Cottonee.

Masuda decided to bless me with this gift on my birthday no less. Has perfect IV's in everything except SpD, but I can still work with it in a battle.

Didn't do anything special for my birthday so this made my day yesterday.

Hey! Congrats on the Phanpy, how far in are you with Lileep?
Also, I could use some tips for my Hawlucha - move set, abusing Unburden and such
Is Power Herb + Sky Attack the best option?
As for the rest of the moves, I've thought about Acrobatics, Swords Dance (assuming I have screens up so it's relatively safe to set up - it's Jolly so I figured it could use the boost), what about Fighting moves?
Max Atk and Spe EVs I assume, where do I put the rest?

Thanks, box 16 of Lileep now. These hatching times are pretty tiring, to be honest.

Whilst the Power Herb + Sky Attack is pretty good, there are some others. You could try out a Focus Sash, a stat-boosting berry or even go max HP and max Attack with Red Card to send out anything that hits you then hopefully outspeed anything that gets sent in. As for the Fighting-type move, I'd suggest Hi Jump Kick as it and Acrobatics work well after a Swords Dance boost.

I personally plan on using the sash with SD, Acrobatics, HJK and a Rock-type move or something once I get my Hawlucha.

Poison Jab should do well against Fairy-types, but nothing else I can think of. Then again, that should be enough really and a Rock type move would only really help against Fire and Flying-types, and you hit them neutrally with Acrobatics. And it's not like Steel-types will wall you if you're carrying HJK.

Luckily Chespin is in the Field Egg Group, so if you have a Smeargle with those moves you can use it as the father and breed the moves onto a female Chespin. You'll also want to make sure the Chespin has the Hidden Ability, Bulletproof.

The average Masuda Method project lasts about 30-ish boxes without the Shiny Charm (unless you're going for a certain gender, Hidden Ability, etc.), or 26-ish with the Shiny Charm. Then again, the hunt varies greatly for everyone.

Hi /shw/. I'm glad the thread is back, I need the support.
I reached box 40 of riolu this week (with the shiny charm, by the way) and nearly gave up. I think I'll hop back on the ride, though.. I want my yellow puppy.

This is my longest ride so far. Haven't found a single shiny since getting my charm and I've hatched well over 55 boxes of eggs including other pokemon besides riolu. I stopped to hunt in the safari for a few hours too, nothing.

It took me 4 HP Electric Froakie tries (got a ground and grass one) to settle.

Is anyone here interested in a little giveaway?

I have two boxes of 5IV Joltik (31/x/31/31/31/31). They're all Timid with Compound Eyes.

In addition, I have 9 hexaperfects as well, also with Timid and Compound Eyes. Of these 9, there are 5 females and 4 males.

I can give them out Via friend code swapping/manual trading, or by the GTS. I'll take anything for them - it is a giveaway, after all.

you can't actually just leave your 3DS alone to hatch the eggs itself
you have to be attentive and hit 'A' when you get the 'huh?' message
might as well just hold left and right while watching TV or whatever
at least you're by the DayCare/PC for more eggs

Lumiose is truly a shitty method unless you only have one egg to hatch
