>>18395563Bug is only shit because it's stuck on shitmons, every Bug-type with a competitive BST (at least 520) is OU or better. Plus it pairs well with Steel.
Grass has that Powder-immunity, which is nice. It has some good resists, and makes for proficient Status spam. It also pairs well with Steel.
Rock, Ice, and Psychic are the types that are almost never beneficial to the Pokemon that possesses them. Ice and Rock at least have good Offensive value, but since Ice and Rock moves are commonly given to other, better types as staple coverage, they lose some of their luster.
>>18395813>>18395706I honestly don't know why people treat Bug as a bad type, let alone the worst one. It's true that there are a lot of bad Pokemon that are Bug-typed, but typing alone isn't the reason why they're shit.
If a Pokemon's average base stat is less than 75, with no stats above 100, there's really no chance that it was ever going to amount to much of anything in the first place. That's just a fact. Every type
except Dragon, and maybe Fighting unless I'm forgetting something has shitmons; Bug happens to have more than most. The ones that were given a chance to be more than tutorial-tier garbage tend to do fairly well, unless they're part Grass, Flying, or Rock.
