So I finished my second playthrough of Pokemon X (from the free downloadable game promo) and I just realized that Gen 6 has the most underwhelming human characters since at least Gen 3; not the worst but compared to Gen 4 and 5 it was a huge setback considering Gen 3 was like 8 years ago (!)

I applaud GF for making a really good online support, streamlining competitive breeding, EV training, friend safari, etc. I can go on and on about how they modernized the mechanics and it was really awesome. Barring some rare exceptions, the 3D sprites were also incredible.

However, one cannot argue that gen 6 has:
> Worst bad guy team with nonsensical motive
> Worst main villain Lysandre
> Most forgettable batch of gym leaders; they just sit inside the gym and wait to be defeated unlike Gen V gym leaders (except maybe Korrina)
> Worst champion
> BY FAR THE WORST set of rivals. Serena still has 3 pokemons when you and she were in high lvl 30's for god's sake.

I'm not baiting here, name me one memorable character from gen 6 that can match Blue (or Green or whatever you want to call him), Silver, Giovanni, Norman, Lance, Cynthia, N (IMO the best character in Pokemon history).

Nothing come even close.
