Does anybody actually prefer some of those gameboy sprites (red/blue US, blue JP) over what the characters ended up being later on? (Or if you'd like you can talk about some other "alternate" official art they've done in the past) I really like how this Moltres doesn't have any white in his eye, for instance. Wondering if there any fan art out there that draws them based on this old sprite art.
