/vp/ additionally has a lot of the mindset that /v/ innately has, that is, "if I haven't tried it yet, it's awful because everyone else says it's awful." /vp/ is a small hivemind divided into two, those who hate smogon, and those who like smogon.
/vp/ will try and try to echo itself to spread more and more baseless hate about competitive battling in general. It's funny and silly to see that if you use ANY OU mon, yes, even including Donphan, /vp/ brands you as an OU:THE TEAM: THE SHITTY MEME, despite the fact you're using a fucking Donphan.
People also upset when their favorite Pokemon is shit and can't handle it being shit so they start posting epic green text stories with no proof, meanwhile smogon can post calculations because they've figured out the game mechanically in and out.
ON THE FLIP SIDE, there are also a needlessly large amount of assholes that give smogon a bad name. Such as calling UU mons "NU garbage" despite the fact that UU is very fun and a place filled with pokemon that can function just as well as any other OU mon.
tl;dr Smogon haters are more loud, annoying, and obnoxious than people who like Smogon. Smogon people will keep to themselves, but if you notice, it's always the haters that start retarded threads like, "Why did they ban X" despite the fact that they don't even play smogon ladders or even play in that meta, so they're literally just trying to stir shit up.
