No really, this is retarded, you must have defeated at least 6 gyms to get to the lab to resurrect Omanyte, on gen 1 of course, it's practically impossible to not have evolved anything all the way to Cinnabar.

Not really.
You don't need to battle Lt. Surge, Erica, or Sabrina to be able to get to Cinnabar.
That being said, defeating Koga with no evolved Pokemon is ridiculous without purposely cancelling evolutions.

shiny zigzagoon in saphire. i kept catching normal zigzagoons afterwords because i thought they were all shiny. took me 2 years to realize my first pokemon was a shiny. took that nigga to the elite 4 and errrthing. unfortunately i lost my cartridge before i could transfer it. i would do anything for that lil guy to come back.
