Personally, Bouffalants worked really well for me. Mass bred a box full of them, threw them into the GTS, got all non-legendary pokémon I needed to complete the dex (Even got stuff like Slurpuff, Gliscor and Weavile out of it)

I guess Pokébank exclusive pokémon still have some worth after all. Man I wish Unown could breed

I found the Gen 3 starters worked well when I was working on my 'dex. Only trade that took longer than a few hours was purugly, and that's mostly because I kept spelling it wrong.
