and they want people to pay for this thing? fucking incredible.
they absolutely cannot release it at this point. whether they announce the release or post it on the eshop silently, it will result in an immediate mass panic download that'll take down the eshop servers no matter what.
and it is not worth having the eshop taken down by a FREE download. every moment the shop isn't functioning is money, and consumer trust, pissed down the drain.
ADDITIONALLY, every moment the fucking pokemon bank is STILL unavailable is proof to the consumer that the program is unreliable and probably not worth paying for. there was already going to be a large percentage of pokemon bank downloaders who were not going to pay for the service, and that percentage is only going to rise and rise.
so what's the solution to all this? well first off, not releasing it on fucking christmas day. besides that, maybe a cartridge release? a fucking STARS CATALOGUE EXCLUSIVE? christ almighty.
tl;dr, we may really NEVER get the bank. nintendo of america even responding was a desperation tactic to try and curb the number of pokemon bank information request tweets. if it wasn't they might have actually implied an EVENTUAL release. do you see the word "RELEASE" in that tweet? information on the "launch"? you mean the FAILED launch? we already know about that!
the ONLY HOPE we have to get it release is to KEEP tweeting/e-mailing/facebooking to @nintendo and @pokemon and whatever else constitutes an official nintendo social media presence. they're hoping people will just forget about it eventually. just like flipnote.
YOU HAVE TO KEEP MESSAGING THEM. YOU ABSOLUTELY CANNOT STOP. you are NOT a whiny priveleged baby this time. act like a shitbag on nintendo social media and BE A HERO.
