Shadow ball is 100% isn't resisted by steel types anymore with the exception of Bisharp which gets wreck by Pixilate HV anyway. SB also hits Metagross harder if you can catch it on the switch.

You could just switch. There's hardly any steel type attacks that do real damage to Pokemon that can resist steel. And moves like bullet punch makes keeping fairy types like Gardevoir in battle really risky.

Will-O-Miss handles all steel type switch-ins except Heatran.

Shadow Ball is the best option for the last slot since mixed Aegislash (technically a steel type too but immune to Focus Miss) shits all over the set otherwise. You can try to argue Focus Miss for Heatran but it's still only a 2HKO at best. Focus Miss hitting twice is a 50% chance. If you're scared enough of Heatran to gamble on a 50% chance then just run HP Ground.

I don't think Gravity improves accuracy. Telekinesis make all moves hit, except for one hit regardless of accuracy and evasion. Telekinesis lasts for 3 turns, but I'm pretty sure you have to reapply it for a each new enemy on the field

It does its job well, but with the prevalence of priority and faster pokemon, it tends to suffer in the end. I usually have Scolipede pass it Iron Defense and Speed Boosts to make up, but that shouldn't be necessary in the first place

Nearly gets outdamaged by an expert belt variant, since those flat percentages matter way more than base stats

Megas matter the most when they change types, abilities, and speed

On that note, Hyper Voice does hit steels like Scizor harder than Shadow Ball because of Pixilate

Staying in on a Scizor and most other steels is fucking stupid though, but I'm just pointing that out

if you're in the higher ladder people will not switch in their steels to gardy because of this. you can use this as your opportunity to spam your nuclear STAB.

I use one in doubles. Hyper Voice, Psyshock, Thunderbolt, and Protect has served me quite well.

It was always a toss-up between Shadow Ball and Thunderbolt for me. I found the most common Pokemon I went up against were weak to Thunderbolt as apposed to Shadow Ball.

Of course, this is for doubles. I can't give you advice for singles.

I know. A lot of people still have the mindset of, "Gardevoir still isn't that great," because all they play is singles, but in doubles, it absolutely wrecks. The only real threat to it is bullet punch users and strong physical attackers. I always have a partner to deal with the those kind of Pokemon. I found M-Gardevoir and Garchomp is a great combo.

It's Gengar but stronger and slower. Don't run status or Trick Room on it. In fact, don't bother with any status moves not named substitute, calm mind or destiny bond. Put that other shit on a wall or a utility mon, wasting Garde's 165 base SpA on anything else is a crime.

Gardy is actually bretty gud in singles, you just have to know how to predict with Wisp. It was used in SPL six times, which is more usage than what megas like Medicham and Heracoss get.

I tried Sylveon in the same team and while MUCH more physically bulky, it just doesn't seem to hit like the nuke Garde is.

Ghost/Fairy is already perfect neutral coverage (lel pyroar), psyshock lets you break past blissey, so the last move would be to hit specific threats your team has trouble with. Garde gets bolt/beam, right?

The definitive smorgen approved set. Almost nothing in the game can switch into Gardevoir's STABs, and most things that can get fucked over by Will-o-Wisp. Just use Will-o-Wisp as Scizor or whatever switches in, and you're good to switch out.

The only exception is Heatran, who you can nail with Focus Blast (or HP Ground if you're that concerned with accuracy.) But if you don't mind being walled by Heatran, Taunt or Calm Maind allows you to be Chansey without even trying, Shadow Ball gives good coverage, especially against Aegislash, and Sub is Sub.
