I'm French and if you do it avoid Paris at all cost. countryside ans atlantic coast are the best South west is OK, south east is probably worse than Paris in term of ideal crushing.

carcassone is pretty OK, all people I know from that region were friendly and all, but might be a bit crude. Also for trains, usually you can see the signs in most station, but TGV are lower than "regular" TER so depending on the station and train it might no be adapted.

Well if you're like me, you'll have looked into lots of French stuff while the leaks were coming out, trying to make sense of game locations/inspirations. And that could foster an interest in France or visiting it.

I went to the South of France when I was younger, really enjoyed it.

South France has become crap. It bevace a tourist trap that constructed and ruined all the good place, then with the crisisit became poor, full of immigrants and overal shit.They are currently trying to save Marseille but it will not bring back the ruined beaches and overall bitter and now aggressive poor population.

I'm french, and as you may have guessed most of the Japanese fantasy is BS. Southern France is nice for Holidays though I guess, but honestly France is way overrated when it comes to best countries to visit.

I visited Paris a year or two ago when I was travelling around Europe. And It was a nice place aside from the general dirtiness that some cities suffer from. Funnily enough I found London to be the cleanest, although this was just after the Olympic games.

I've wanted to go to Paris since a long time ago, mostly because that's the city of love and all that dumb bullshit, and I wanted to fall in love with a french girl. Then I learned Paris is completely full of turists, and french people hates them, and that it was just an impossible childrish dream anyway.
