Are hordes better than the radar?

I heard you can't go for the farthest patch if it's adjacent. But the nearest ones will also break the chain. And the most "lively patch" rarely appears.

Hordes are much easier and less complicated. But if an area has more than one horde, you can't confirm you'll get the shiny you want.

Well Poison Jab for fairies. The tree is a little trickier. It'll almost certainly be carrying will 'o wisp, so you are going to want to take it on with a Special attacker, or Fire Type. Scizor will essentially be neutered if it goes up against it, even if it does manage to defeat it.

Hordes are simply a game of luck.
You can't really determine when a shiny appears so it could be the very first one or it takes you days for onw to appear.

Radar always takes quite some chains until it appears but you always know which one will appear and if you're doing it for a while you can also go up to it always having three IVs at the very least compared to Hordes where it's completely random.

However, hordes can also spawn HA Pokémon so it's really up to you in the end.

Here's how Scizor deals with Fairies:

Step 1) Send in Scizor
Step 2) Swords Dance while they switch out because it's a Scizor on a Fairy and they cannot stay in on that
Step 3) If, for some bizarre reason, they chose to stay in, continue to set up in their face
Step 4) Bullet Punch until it's dead

Don't try and set up on a Whimsicott. It will eat you alive and ruin your day.

Pokemon via radar will always have 3 perfect IV's?

If your chain is high enough, yes.
But it's higher than what is required for a shiny, I think it was 60 but I'm not sure, so you could aciddentally break your already perfect chain by going higher.

Maybe you should just take a break from Froakie after you've hatched all your current eggs and try something without the need for an HA. I alternate between them during projects, one HA, one non-HA, then one HA again. Less stressful that way.

The shitty thing is I usually don't care about genders. I hatched a shiny male Fennekin on Friday that I'm perfectly happy with. It's when they make one gender better than the other or make them so different they require different natures and shit, and you're specifically going for one and get the other. well here i'll give you some advice. Level your mon up so repels work. Go for the fastest shaking grass, and stick with the ones that shake the same. Stop at 35 if your lady friend doesn't battle online, and just reset the radar till you find one.
