Why did Gen VI give so many Pokemon unnecessary BST boosts? What the fuck is ten extra points in the area they don't even NEED to be viable going to do?

Which boosts were unnecessary? I'd give Beedrill even more of an attack boost honestly.

I brought this up the other day, but has there ever been a more worthless pokemon than Beedrill? Beedrill should have been awesome at the beginning of Gen 1. Instead, it's worthless against Brock. It's outclassed by Butterfree. It's worthless in Mt. Moon. It's obsolete by the time you reach Misty. It sucks because Beedrill really is one of the better designed pokemon.

Beedrill sucks so much it's not even funny. I can play a bit with Butterfree or even Dustox, but Beedrill is just plain useless and weak, even at single player.
