Shadow Ball.

Sword's Dance set sucks specifically because it relies on Shadow Sneak as its main STAB move.

Aegislash has tons and tons of sets, there is no "best" set.

Why shadow ball? Steel is more of a defensive type anyways and unless you're against a fairy you're not going to need a steel stab

Shadow Ball is ghost. Aegislash's attack and special attack are identical, and going special means you're not bothered by burns or anything, and your main STAB has more power.

If you're not using Autotomize, then 252 HP and 252 Attack or Special attack, or just 252 attack and 252 special attack.

why don't you use shadow claw instead?

If it means anything the EV spread I use are 252HP 252 Att 4SpD
